Did the Boston Celtics get good news from the NBA judgment on the Kawhi Leonard - Los Angeles Clippers
scandal? The league brought down the hammer on the Clippers organization after the prestigious white shoe law firm of Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen and Katz found that Los Angeles executives conspired with Leonard's management and third-party companies to circumvent the league's salary cap restrictions. While the range of punishments announced by the NBA are mostly impacting the front office and ownership, the loss of draft assets to the tun of five first round picks will likely force L.A. to open up cap space and trade at least some of their better players to recoup some of the tools they will need to rebuild the roster for the future.
With Boston
in line to get their 2028 first round pick, there is a case to be made this is a boon for the Celtics in the near-term future. Two of the three hosts of the "Still Poddable" podcast, Brian Robb and Jay King, made their case on a recent episode of their show. Check it out below!
