Longtime Boston Celtics broadcaster Mike Gorman is selling his Boston penthouse, according to recent reportingfrom Boston Dot Com contributor Megan Johnson. The 43-year veteran of calling Celtics contests has decided to part ways with his Lovejoy Wharf property, currently listed for a cool $1.5 million. Just around the corner from his place of work in TD Garden, the two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit has been Gorman's since 2017.
"It’s a really great location. I can’t say enough about the building and the people," said the retired Celtics play-by-play man. "I would say it added on 10 years to my career."
"You cannot buy that same size unit with the views it has in a full-service building pretty much anywhere in Boston," said Gorman's interviewer,
George Sarkis of The Sarkis Team at Douglas Elliman real estate.
Some of you may be wondering where Gorman may be off to if he is selling his local home. "He has a place somewhere else, more like a vacation place, and he just wants to travel and be closer to his family," said Sarkis, addressing such concerns.
