The synergy between star Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum and his frontcourt teammates Luka Garza, Mitchell Robinson, and Neemias Queta has been cooking on the court so far this season, the Celtics having lost just their home opener to the Detroit Pistons
so far this season. And few have had the privileged view held by Boston assistant coach Tony Dobbins on how that process has been coming along."If you think about it in terms of a football environment, of that being a position room, I love that position room because they each bring something different to the table, to the equation, and our team benefits from it," said Dobbins via CLNS Media after a recent Celtics practice. "So the impact that they have within that room and how they push
one another, help one another work together – they were after shoot around this morning, working together as a group of three; it's great to see."
"And then the benefit that has on our team and the versatility that it gives us that you could go to each one of those guys, and they can bring something different to the group that helps elevate the level of play is really cool to see," said the Celtics assistant, praising one of the bigs in particular.
"I think we are all extremely pleased with what Mitch is doing," said Dobbins. "I'm happy to have him here. And I'm going to continue to just try to help him get acclimated to our system and what we're doing, but I think he's doing a phenomenal job as he continues to get comfortable with the situation."
"He'll continue to improve, but I think he's done a great job and we ... don't expect anything other than that to continue."
