From each season to the next, the NBA does not stand still in terms of tactics used and the responses teams come up with to stymie them. And the same holds true on an individual player level, as Boston Celtics big man Neemias Queta recently attested to in an interview held at a recent local community event.
"I've been working on different facets of the game," said the Lisbon native viaCLNS Media, who took full advantage of his run with the Portuguese National Team this summer in FIBA EuroCup action to hone his craft on the international stage. Now gearing up for his campaign with the Celtics, Queta broke down what he has been focusing on with his development so far this summer.
"Being more versatile, more offensively, being more complete," added
Queta ahead of a campaign where expectations will be considerable for him, especially with the addition of former New York Knicks big man Mitchell Robinson.
"Whether it's making quick decisions with the ball, whether it's a pass, being able to go get my own shot," added the Utah State alum. "And defensively, being able to be in the right spots earlier and communicate a little bit more."
"The same old stuff, spacing the floor as well, being able to shoot. So it's just been a good offseason of work, and I've been working on pretty much everything."
