Was Boston Celtics majority owner Bill Chisholm initially against trading Jaylen Brown to the Philadelphia 76ers? Earlier this month, the private equity magnate took some time to talk about how he saw the blockbuster deal when it first crossed his desk.
Speaking at a recent appearance on the annual local Jimmy Fund radio telethon to raise money for the Dana Farber Cancer Center, Chisholm, shared some surprisingly candid words about how the proposal to trade the Georgia native for Paul George and a pair of first round draft picks hit him. Given the executives of the team are at times professional fibbers and thus by extension team Governors as well, it is not unfair to be skeptical of the Celtics head honcho's take.
But the hosts of the "Still
Poddable" podcast, Brian Robb, Sam Packard, and Jay King, took some time to take a closer look at what Chisholm had to say – and what it could mean for Boston's future. Check it out below!
