Ahead of the start of the Boston Celtics 2026-27 training camp, we are hearing rumbles that star Celtics forward Jayson Tatum has been rubbing elbows with some pretty impressive folks on the golf course. According to a recent storyfrom Cape Cod Times reporter Allen Gunn, the St. Louis native has been golfing with former US President Barack Obama.
Tatum, a massive fan of the sport of golf for many years now, was evidently seen at the private Vineyard Golf Club in Edgartown on Martha's Vineyard with the retired president hitting the links. In an interesting twist given the recent rumors about a hypothetical trade of the Golden State Warriors star to the Celtics having been making the rounds, Obama and Tatum also had future Hall of Fame guard Stephen
Curry golfing with them.
That is not the end of the list of notable folks in the golfing party, either, with actor Don Cheadle also putt-putting with the star-studded group last week.
No word on whether that unfounded rumor reached the ears of Curry.
Nor whether the Duke alum lobbied the Dubs star to push for a trade to Boston.
