The Boston Celtics will reportedly lose one veteran players to rest for their road matchup with the red-hot Houston Rockets
for Monday (Nov. 2) night, according to the team. But they will also get another back in the fold as Boston begins their efforts to keep their older and oft-injured players healthy over the course of a long 2026-27 NBA regular season and a brutal November schedule in particular.Vet forward Paul George will rest after playing the front end of a back-to-back against the Orlando Magic, having chipped in 17 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks in Boston's 108-97 road win. And veteran big man Mitchell Robinson will return to action after having sat out vs. the Magic in the game prior for rest.
Given the physical
play of Houston, especially on the boards, these moves make a lot of sense for the Celtics in terms of full-season roster management.
The Celtics have also listed two way guard Devin Carter as out with an illness as the former Providence College continues to recover from a bout of mononucleosis.
