Derrick White will be key for the Boston Celtics this season. Or at least that is the point of view of the folks behind the "Rik Knows Hoops" YouTube channel, who put together a clip from a recent episode of their show that took some time to talk over just how critical White will be to this version of the Celtics in the 2026-27 NBA regular season.
The University of Colorado - Boulder alum had something of a slump on the offensive end of the court last season. And some are seeing tat as a red flag that could signal the start of age-related decline for the Boston floor general. But others see it as White trying to make the most of playing a role he was not especially well-suited for. And the Celtics success in the campaign ahead could very well hinge
on whether it was the former or the latter.
