The Boston Celtics have a full, 21-man roster for their 2026-27 training camp currently working to prepare themselves for the season ahead – whether that season will be played for Boston, with the Maine Celtics, or, for some, in another league altogether. For the latter category, drawn from the ranks of prospects playing with the team on Exhibit 10 or Exhibit 9 training camp contracts, players like Devin Carter, Hayden Gray, Milos Uzan, and Tucker DeVries have been on Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla's radar for some time.
"I think that evaluation period … starts in August and September to give that whole group credit," said the Celtics coach viaCLNS Media after a training camp practice on Wednesday (Oct. 1) morning. "They've been here literally
every single day for the last two, three months."
"(The) evaluation process goes beyond training camp and more just into the professionalism and the habits and the things that they do for the time that they're here during the workouts," he added.
"They've all committed a long time," said Mazzulla. "I put a lot of time and effort into it which we're grateful for and that evaluation process continues into training camp."
"And then we take it from there, but it's a credit to those guys – they work their asses off. They've done a great job up until this point."
