What is the story about?

Are the Boston Celtics contenders heading into the 2026-27 NBA season? Former Boston point guard Jeff Teague seems to think so, and said as much on his "Club 520" podcast. The fellow Celtics alum sees a lot of potential in this iteration of his former ball club, and not because of some sort of bias from having played for Boston in the past.

Teague sees star Celtics forward Jayson Tatum as an ascendant talent despite his (hopefully healed) Achilles tendon injury, with the recent, bombshell move to deal Tatum's costar on the wing Jaylen Brown to the Philadelphia 76ers setting him up for an MVP-worthy campaign. Is Teague right, or are his past allegiances distorting his perspective on the situation?
