What should we expect from the Boston Celtics this season now that we have seen them play? To be fair, the 121-113 Opening Night road loss to the Detroit Pistons was very much not what fans of the storied ball club were hoping to see (the 22-point collapse – the biggest in history for the first game of a season – especially not), but there were also some positives to build off as well, like veteran forward Paul George turning back the clock and making a different sort of history with the most points scored in a Celtics debut.
What did all of this tell us about the rest of the Celtics' 2026-27 NBA regular season campaign, if anything? With a tough slate of games coming soon in the month of November, Boston does not have a lot of time to right
what ails them early in the season. But they look good and are healthy, so that may not be a major concern.
The hosts of the "How Bout Them Celtics!" podcast, Jack Simone and Sam LaFrance, took a closer look on a recent episode. Check it out below!
