The Boston Celtics have another secret weapon to use in the 2026-27 NBA season. Or at least that is the point of view of the folks behind the "Backyard Buckets" YouTube channel, who put together a clip taking a closer look at a key member of the Celtics rotation for the campaign ahead and how that player might surprise a lot of NBA fans.
The rising prospect in question? None other than backup Boston wing Baylor Scheierman, who may find Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla turning to him to help fill the space left by the trade of star forward Jaylen Brown to the Philadelphia 76ers earlier this offseason. Diving into the Creighton alum's shooting, playmaking, rebounding, and all-around versatility on the court, the clip makes the case that this could
be Scheierman's season to shine with Boston.
