For the last six summers or so, Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum has hosted a golf tournament in St. Louis that is dedicated to raising money for his foundation, which seeks to empower children through education, athletics, and support. And every year, a few familiar faces show up to hit the links with Tatum and endorse his worthy cause.
On Monday, Celtics guard Derrick White, first-year Celtic Mike Conley, and former Celtic Daniel Theis all attended Tatum's annual golf tournament at Norwood Hills Country Club. White is one of Tatum's favorite teammates and Conley, who just signed with Boston this offseason, is a two-time winner of the NBA's Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year award. As for Theis, he was the lone player in the group who isn't
currently in the Association. However, the German center spent four seasons in Boston and joined the Celtics at the same time as Tatum.

Although the 2026-27 season is still months away, the on-court partnership between Tatum and White will be vital to the success of the Celtics. With former longest-tenured Celtic Jaylen Brown now with the Philadelphia 76ers following a blockbuster trade in early July, White could be one of the Green Team's main sources of offense.
The C's will hope for nine-time All-Star Paul George to pick up some of that slack as well since he was traded for Brown after all. However, George is 36 years old and no longer in his physical prime, making White's performance and his synergy with Tatum as important as ever.

The schedule for the 2026-27 campaign has yet to be released, but the earliest sign of genuine Celtics basketball should come during preseason, which begins on Thursday, October 8.
