The Boston Celtics blew out the Chicago Bulls 134-99 at TD Garden this Monday (Oct. 26) evening to improve to 2-1 on the season. The game was a close one for much of the first half, Boston starting to pull away gradually in the second half until coach Joe Mazzulla pulled the starters to let the bench mob get some run in the fourth quarter in the wire-to-wire win.
The Celtics won the shot attempt contest 93 attempts to Chicago's 84, won the battle of the boards 54-40, the march of dimes 26 to the Bulls 20 assists, and held Chicago to 27 percent from beyond the arc and 39 percent from the field overall on a night they shot 48 and 49 percent respectively. The Celtics next face the Brooklyn Nets at home on Tuesday (Oct. 27) night.
