Predicting the Boston Celtics' starting five for the 2026-27 NBA regular season is not as easy as one might think despite at least one of the five spots for the coming campaign effectively being a lock. That of course would be the starting spot for star Celtics forward Jayson Tatum – but after the St. Louis native, the picture starts to get fuzzier.
There are players with a better case to start like point guard Derrick White and perhaps Neemias Queta (though there is indeed a case to be made to start new Boston big man Mitchell Robinson). But there are also others like Hugo Gonzalez and Baylor Scheierman who will be fighting for a shot to start at shooting guard for the looming season.
The folks behind the "NBC Sports Boston" YouTube channel put
together a clip featuring hosts Chris Forsberg and Kayla Burton taking a closer look at who might start for the Celtics next season on their "Celtics Talk" podcast. Check it out below!
