Is it a good idea for the Boston Celtics to sit star forward Jayson Tatum vs. lesser teams? The St. Louis native has already taken his first rest night of the 2026-27 NBA regular season in the recent Boston win over the lowly Milwaukee Bucks. Does it make sense to do this from time to time when the ball club should be able to win without his help?
Given the Duke alum is not all that far removed from a career-altering Achilles tendon injury that saw him miss most of last season (and appeared to flare up in the postseason), there is at least a solid argument to take it easy on Tatum when the schedule allows– especially considering an especially brutal November schedule.
The folks behind the "WEEI Boston Sports Original" YouTube channel put together
a clip from their "Greg Hill Show" taking a closer look. Check it out below!
