Boston Celtics point guard Derrick White has an elite game on the court, and a podcasting game on a similar level off the court. Cohost and founder of the "White Noise" podcast with longtime friend Alex Welsh, the Colorado native recently broke down how he got into the podcasting game in a videoput together for fellow Boston sports icon Mookie Betts' official YouTube page.
"I think like we had a mutual friend who's like 'You guys would be really good at this … just hanging out with us, these stories, and these the way you guys would interact,'" said White. "(He said) 'It would be fun to put on camera and let people see your personality'."
"And at first I was like 'Yeah I don't know; I'm not really a podcast guy," continued the Celtics floor general.
"That doesn't sound like something I'll like."
"But the more I talked about it, it's cool for me to kind of show … my personality and do it," said White. "We're hanging out anyway, so you might as well just make the most out of it."
"And I think it's been it's been fun so far, honestly … essentially putting yourself out there, being more like who I am. But people that are close to me letting the world see a different side that I've kind of been hiding, I guess. But it's been fun for me just to hang out."
