Today, the Boston Celtics and Xfinity got in the holiday spirit early by throwing a special Halloween party at the Watertown Boys and Girls Club in Watertown, MA, for over 60 area young people this past Thursday (Oct. 29), according to a release that was circulated by the team. The event offered the local youth in attendance a special surprise—a unique chance to take part in different activities with Celtics players.
Players Mike Conley Jr., Ron Harper Jr., and Dillon Mitchell were there, along with the Celtics mascot, "Lucky" the Leprechaun, and several members of the Celtics Entertainment Team.
During the event, the area youth in attendance people took part in arts and crafts activities, engaged in STEM activities, enjoyed a pizza party with
the players, and received surprise giveaways as well.
"It’s always a pleasure to be able to give back to the community," suggested Celtics reserve wing Ron Harper Jr., per the release.
"Halloween time is coming up, so it’s a great time to put a costume on and have fun out here with the kids."
