Could the Boston Celtics actually be a top-five team this season? This was the question posed by host Brian Windhorst on a recent episode of the ESPN "Hoop Collective" podcast that had the crew taking a closer look at a recent assessment of the future of every ball club in the NBA.
The assessment in question, ESPN’s NBA Future Power Rankings, put Boston in some rarefied air that actually got Windhorst and his cohosts talking about whether such an assessment for the Celtics makes sense. Especially given they just dealt away star forward Jaylen Brown to the Philadelphia 76ers for an aging veteran Paul George and draft assets.
