Should star forward Jaylen Brown have his jersey number retired by the Boston Celtics? There are cases both for and against, but at least for us here at the Celtics Wire, we tend to lean toward hanging No. 7 in the rafters starting yesterday. But it is also fair to point out that as the NBA's most winningest ball club in terms of regular season games won and titles both, Boston already has quite a few player jerseys that have been retired already.
And with so many nods to past accomplishments by iconic Celtics, one can make the case that Brown has not quite hit the bar needed to hang his jersey among such greats (he has).
