Jaylen Brown might not be on the Boston Celtics roster anymore, but that isn't a reason not to be bullish on the franchise's chances of success in the upcoming season. Brad Stevens has built a versatile roster capable of playing at an elite level on both ends of the floor while controlling the tempo and dominating the offensive and defensive glass.
We've already seen signs of how Boston could look to play, as it's gone 3-0 in its preseason games so far. Of course, the roster still has a few more gears to find, and that will happen naturally as the season progresses and players find their rhythm. Nevertheless, any concerns about a production drop-off compared to last season should already be put to bed, as the Celtics look like they'll be even
harder to contain with their new-look system.
NBC Sports Boston's Chris Forsberg was recently joined by MassLive's Brian Robb to discuss the Celtics' recent performances, the tweaks to the system, and the potential for some interesting lineups and rotations on an episode of the 'Celtics Talk' podcast. The duo shared multiple reasons for their excitement heading into the new season, and why they're expecting Boston to be as good as, if not better than, it was last season.
