More than a few fans of the Boston Celtics would be very happy to see the evident rancor between former Boston Celtics teammates Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum. And one might think that after getting some key facts about what went on with the former's trade to the Philadelphia 76ers this summer wrongin a loud way, that Boston broadcaster Brian Scalabrine might be of the same mind with Tatum shutting down questions on the topic and Brown takinga similar tack while denying the former Boston big man's claims.
But Scal elected to dig in instead, making jokes on Celtics broadcasts about Brown leading the league in turnovers last season, and, on another episode of his "Starting Lineup" show, took direct aim at the former Boston star. "Jaylen Brown wants
to be the victim in all of this, and this is the way he’s doing it now," saidScalabrine.
"He’s using me, or his PR team, or whatever it is, to play the victim, and he’s not going to take responsibility for it."
"That’s fine," said Scalabrine. "I just feel like he wants to say whatever he wants, and he doesn’t want to be held accountable, just like on his Twitch. He wants his legacy to remain intact, and he’s not going to take responsibility for the other stuff that he brings up. And this is just the beginning of it."
But when will the end of all this be, and what will it look like?
