The Boston Celtics hope to follow up their 124-113 preseason road win vs. the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday (Oct. 8) night with another exhibition win against the Philadelphia 76ers in the next game of their preseason slate of exhibition games set to take place on Saturday (Oct. 10) evening.
There may be no shortage of drama despite the fact that the tilt is a friendly one, given this could be the first game former Celtics forward Jaylen Brown may play against his former team since having been dealt to the Sixers this summer. But Boston will continue sitting their starters as they did in their first preseason contest, perhaps getting the same result from Philadelphia.
Records, standing, and streaks
At present, the Celtics have a 1-0 record in preseason play after their win
at Cleveland on Thursday night.
The Sixers are the owners of a 1-1 record in the wake of their loss to the Brooklyn Nets, also on Thursday.
Player injuries
For Boston, Sam Hauser, Ron Harper Jr., Payton Pritchard, Mitchell Robinson, Neemias Queta, Paul George, Derrick White, and Jayson Tatum (rest) will sit.
For Philadelphia, Ariel Hukporti (Achilles tendon), Adem Bona (foot), Anfernee Simons (hamstring), Tacko Fall (hip), and Dominick Barlow (back) will also sit.
