But with the top of the roster mostly set, the Vikings announced eight team captains for the 2026 season. They include Brian O'Neill, Josh Metellus, Andrew DePaola, Kyler Murray, Justin Jefferson, Andrew Van Ginkel, Blake Cashman, and Aaron Jones.

O'Neill, Metellus, DePaola, Jefferson, and Jones served as captains last season. Murray, Van Ginkel, and Cashman replaced J.J. McCarthy, Jonathan Greenard, and Harrison Smith, who signed a one-year deal to return to Minnesota on Saturday.
