The Minnesota Vikings released their first injury report of the 2026 season on Wednesday. As throughout training camp and preseason, the Vikings appear relatively healthy heading into Week 1. Only three players were listed on Wednesday's report, and none of them were surprises.
Third-round safety Jakobe Thomas was the only player listed as a DNP (did not participate), missing Wednesday due to an illness. Fellow third-round pick Caleb Tiernan, a tackle, was limited with an ankle injury he suffered in Minnesota's first preseason game.
Undrafted safety Jacob Thomas was limited with a calf injury as well. After an initial scare in the final preseason game in Denver on Aug. 28, reports said Thomas was dealing with a Grade 1 ankle sprain, which typically
takes 1-3 weeks to recover from. So he appears to be on track to be back within that timeframe.

Green Bay's injury report was lengthier. DNPs included DT Warren Brinson and LB Ty'Ron Hopper. OL Zach Bako-Bewele, G Aaron Banks, DT Javon Hargrave, OL Jordan Morgan, EDGE Barron Sorrell, and DT Devonte Wyatt were all listed as questionable.
