The NFL season will sometimes show us what we want to see from players; other times, we may see something bad when it isn't there. For fans and media, it's essential to have a way to verify and balance information to prevent favoritism or bias from being portrayed in a negative light.
Thanks to PFF, we will always have an extra set of eyes to examine the football game.
One of those angles and views comes from their writer Dalton Wasserman. He looked at the performance of every first-round pick in Week 8, and that included Caleb Banks. He wrote of his performance, "Banks played a baker’s dozen snaps in Minnesota’s first loss of the season and made one tackle in the run game. He did not generate any pressure across five pass-rush snaps. For now,
it appears Banks will continue to get rotational reps behind the veterans on Minnesota’s defensive line as well as fellow rookie Domonique Orange."
Banks has been brought along slowly, as most rookies are in Brian Flores' defense. His being in the rotation is a step, and he could be in line to work more snaps as the season progresses.
