The Minnesota Vikings are reportedly adding a familiar veteran to their receiving corps.
Odell Beckham Jr. is signing with Minnesota, Jordan Schultz reports. The Vikings had not officially announced the transaction as of Wednesday morning. Beckham became available after the New York Giants released him Sept. 29, ending his highly anticipated return to the franchise that drafted him. The 33-year-old appeared in three games for New York but played only 19 offensive snaps, drew one target, and did not record a reception.
Minnesota offers Beckham another opportunity to contribute to a contender. The Vikings are 4-0 heading into Sunday’s road game against the New Orleans Saints, but their receiver situation bears watching. Justin Jefferson missed Minnesota’s
Week 4 win over Miami with a sprained ankle, and his availability against New Orleans remains uncertain.

The move also reunites Beckham with Vikings coach Kevin O’Connell. O’Connell was the Los Angeles Rams’ offensive coordinator when Beckham joined the team in 2021. Beckham caught five touchdown passes in eight regular-season games with Los Angeles and helped the Rams win Super Bowl LVI.
Beckham later played for the Baltimore Ravens and Miami Dolphins before sitting out the 2025 season. He returned to New York during the offseason and earned a spot on the initial 53-man roster, but the Giants never gave him a meaningful role.
For Beckham, the move represents another chance to contribute to a postseason contender. For Minnesota, it is a low-risk addition of a receiver who already understands O’Connell and has previously produced in his offensive system.
