The 2027 NFL Draft will take place in Washington, D.C. next year. In that draft, the Vikings still have their first-round pick, but a lot could happen in the next 8 months. Before then, though, there will be plenty of speculation and buildup about the team and who they may add through the draft in a class many are calling one of generational wealth.
While we will always look at mock drafts from analysts around the space, we will also keep up with our Mock Draft Mondays here on Vikings Wire.
College football season is officially underway, so we are seeing some stocks fluctuate, and even some new players being added to watch lists. With that in mind and the stage set, let's dive into a 3-Round 2027 NFL Mock Draft for the Vikings.
Round 1: KJ Bolden, SAF, Georgia
The Vikings get
the benefit of what is likely one more year with veteran and future Hall of Famer Harrison Smith at the safety position. The 2027 NFL Draft class has some long-term solutions, and one of them could fall to them in the middle of round one. KJ Bolden is a top-10 talent and could be a star in the Vikings' defense and could be their new leader on the back end for the next couple of seasons.
Round 2: Kenyatta Jackson Jr., Edge, Ohio State
Kenyatta Jackson Jr. exploded in Week 1 for the Buckeyes' defense. He secured eight pressures for the Buckeyes in their one-sided win over Ball State, and he was able to showcase his motor and hand-fighting skills in the process. The Vikings need a pass rusher opposite Dallas Turner, and in round two, Jackson is as good as any and a value.
Round 3: Isaac Brown, RB, Louisville
Demond Claiborne in a backfield rotation with Isaac Brown would be a newer, younger version of the duo they currently have with Aaron Jones Sr. and Jordan Mason. Brown can be a bit of a bruiser at times, but he also can finish long runs when given the chance. He didn't have the best Week 1, but Louisville's offense will give him plenty of chances as the season goes on.
Round 3: Suntarine Perkins, Edge/LB, Ole Miss
I think Suntarine Perkins can be the Vikings' new version of what they currently get from Ivan Pace Jr. Perkins can provide some run support, some pass rush, as well as some coverage. He doesn't do anything at an insane level, but he is good in all those areas.
