Justin Jefferson missed all but one series against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. After catching two passes for 32 yards, the Minnesota Vikings star receiver left the game with an ankle injury. He tried to return, but the team ruled him out in the third quarter.
On Monday, Ian Rapaport reported that Jefferson suffered an ankle sprain and that he may play Sunday. Kevin O'Connell shared his optimism during his press conference.
Without Jefferson, the Vikings' offense couldn't sustain drives against the Buccaneers. Minnesota managed only 240 yards of offense, further cementing its status as the league's 32nd-ranked offense.
They will look to get back on track next Sunday against the Miami Dolphins, who are 0-3 and are allowing 9.1 net yards per
pass, the worst in the league. Hopefully, Jefferson will be in the lineup.
