The quarterback position has dominated headlines for the Minnesota Vikings this week. On Tuesday, another notable, though less significant, transaction involved a young quarterback.
Max Brosmer was signed to the Vikings' active roster after spending the first three weeks of the season on the practice squad. He essentially replaces J.J. McCarthy as Minnesota's third quarterback.
Brosmer, who signed with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent last spring, appeared in seven games in 2025 and started in two. He completed 66.7% of his passes but only averaged 4.6 yards per attempt and threw four interceptions and zero touchdowns.
Still, Minnesota's front office remains optimistic regarding his development, as Nolan Teasley told reporters that Brosmer's
development "continues to be really important to us."
