The Vikings' defense made plays once again to help them secure a win. In Week 1, they were aggressive and were able to set the tone with an impressive fourth quarter against the Packers. In Week 2, they stifled the Bears' offense in the downpour and held the Bears to three points.
But not to be forgotten, they made plays on special teams as well.
Veteran Isaiah Rodgers made the biggest play of the game, arguably, when he blocked a field goal by Cairo Santos. If they had made that field goal, they could've kicked a tying one late in the fourth quarter during their final drive.
After the game, Isaiah Rodgers spoke to the media, and The Athletic's Alec Lewis shared his comments, which included: "Isaiah Rodgers said after the game that he watches film
of different kickers/kicking units, times them up. Knew exactly how many steps he had to take before diving to get there."
While the offense was not as impressive, they were bailed out by plays like the one that Rodgers made.
