It was a tale of two halves for the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, as Minnesota was down as many as 12 points in the second half but scored 29 unanswered points to defeat the Green Bay Packers 39-22. What spearheaded this comeback was the defense, which flipped a switch at halftime and came out in the third quarter swinging and never looked back.
According to NextGenStats, Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores blitzed Jordan Love on 78.3% of dropbacks, which is the most a quarterback has faced in a single game since 2023, reports ESPN NFL analyst Benjamin Solak. All four sacks on Love came on the blitz, which resulted in a 58.2% pressure rate.

Flores has always been regarded as a mastermind on defense, but this was by far some of his best work during his tenure with Minnesota. He was drawing up pressures from all over the field, making life miserable for Love and the Packers. He will need to bring his A+ game next week, as the Vikings take on the Chicago Bears, who dropped 59 points in their season opener against the Carolina Panthers.
