Although Justin Jefferson escaped the Minnesota Vikings win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with an ankle sprain that was deemed to be short-term, he won't be returning to the lineup in Week 4.
The Vikings ruled Jefferson OUT for Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins
. He didn't practice all week, but Kevin O'Connell hinted that Jefferson could return next week as the team travels to New Orleans to face the Saints."I know it's a big one for him next week," O'Connell said of Jefferson, who is a Louisiana native.
Minnesota also ruled CB Chuck Demmings (hamstring) and punter Brett Thorson (hamstring) OUT for Sunday.
