The 2027 NFL Draft will take place in Washington, D.C. next year. In that draft, the Vikings still have their first-round pick, but a lot could happen in the next 9 months. Before then, though, there will be plenty of speculation and buildup for the team and who they may add to the roster through the draft in a class that many are saying could be one of generational wealth.
Bleacher Report's Scouting Department recently released the latest 2027 NFL mock draft of the cycle, which has the team going with a new offensive addition in one of the top running backs in the country. They projected them to land star running back Jadan Baugh out of Florida.
They explain the Baugh pick, writing, "Kyler Murray will have an opportunity to prove himself this
fall as the Minnesota Vikings' starting quarterback. Depending on his performance, a very different conversation could occur next offseason. As of now, the organization can draft Florida's Jadan Baugh, add the class' top running back and provide the lineup with a new offensive focal point."
The Vikings landing Baugh would allow their offense to be complete for the first time in the tenure of Kevin O'Connell. They have long neglected to have a meaningful running game, and it has hurt them. By landing Baugh, that could all change overnight.
