Roster cutdown day is never a fun day to cover the game of football. You see countless dreams and hard work fall apart, but within all of that chaos and destruction of dreams, there is also seeing dreams come true through is all.
In the middle of all that bad, the Vikings made one of those dreams come true, it seems.
UDFA safety Jacob Thomas is going to make the 53-man roster of the Minnesota Vikings after a strong preseason stretch from the former James Madison defender. The Athletic's Alec Lewis was the first to report the move by Minnesota.
Thomas looked strong in three preseason games for the Vikings, despite suffering an ankle injury at one point. He racked up a whopping 11 tackles and two passes defended across those contests. He joins the Vikings roster
as a third notable UDFA to make the team in recent years alongside Jalen Redmond and Ivan Pace Jr.
