If you had to give credit to one unit on this team for being 4-0 on the season, it would be the defense. This defense had more than its fair share of question marks entering the season, but it has been lights-out, especially in the second half. They have played so well that they are entering historic territory through the first four games of the season.
The Athletic's Alec Lewis put out a tweet highlighting just how good this team has been to begin the year:
The Vikings have a 69.8% defensive success rate through four weeks.

That's the sixth-best figure of any NFL team through four games since the turn of the century.

With all the turnover this defense went through last offseason, it is incredibly impressive to see how well they are performing to start the year. Dallas Turner, second in the league in sacks with 5.5, has really spearheaded this movement and bailed the offense out on numerous occasions. If the defense can keep this up, it'll allow time for the offense to gel more, which could spell trouble for the rest of the league.
