The Minnesota Vikings are dealing with one of the bigger injuries they have dealt with this year or in the past few years. Luckily for them, it doesn't seem too significant, and it is coming at an ideal time in the schedule.
All-Pro wide receiver Justin Jefferson suffered an ankle injury during the team's Week 3 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road. Jefferson was gearing up for a return in that game, but ultimately, the team was conservative in their approach and sat him out.
During the week, it was announced that Jefferson would miss Week 4 against the Miami Dolphins. The next man up is expected to be Jordan Addison both on the field and in the gameplan.
The former first-round pick could be a WR1 on a lot of other teams, so in Jefferson's
absence, he will have a chance to showcase himself. In Week 3, he racked up five receptions for 90 yards and one score on nine targets.
In Week 4, he could see double-digit targets, which could make him a viable WR2 in fantasy with WR1 upside.
