The 2027 NFL Draft will take place in Washington, D.C. next year. In that draft, the Vikings still have their first-round pick, but a lot could happen in the next 8 months. Before then, though, there will be plenty of speculation and buildup about the team, and who they may add through the draft in a class many are calling one of generational wealth.

College football season is officially underway, but now so is the NFL season. A lot was shown about the Vikings in Week 3 when they secured a dramatic win, so there's a lot to consider when making picks. With that in mind and the stage set, let's dive into
a 3-Round 2027 NFL Mock Draft for the Vikings.
Round 1: Drake Lindsay, QB, Minnesota
With the trade of J.J. McCarthy now official, the Vikings have no one set to be their starter under contract in 2027. The team could get something out of Kyler Murray and they extend him, or perhaps they stick with Carson Wentz as a veteran presence. The bottom line is they need a young quarterback, and that could be Drake Lindsay. He has some great tools, with an arm that flashes brilliance, so give him to O'Connell and this offense and see what he has.
Round 2: Kingston Lopa, S, California
Kingston Lopa is one of the biggest risers in the draft community this year. He has five interceptions in four games this year and is coming off an 11-tackle performance. He has some flaws, but the ball skills and instincts are there, and giving him to Brian Flores could be diabolical. He is listed at 6-5 and 210 pounds and could be a fun safety option for the Vikings in 2027.
Round 3: Hollywood Smothers, RB, Texas
Aaron Jones is looking his age and cannot be the dynamic piece he once was. Hollywood Smothers is playing like one of the best running backs in the country and is a dynamic piece the Vikings could use. He could be in the rotation with Demond Claiborne, and it gives Minnesota some young backs to see what they can do in the offense.
Round 3: John Henry Daley, DE, Michigan
John Henry Daley would be a really fun rotational piece in the Vikings' pass rush. He has looked good coming off his torn Achilles from last season and is playing like a difference-maker. The injury could push his stock down, and if it does, the Vikings would be wise to take advantage of it. Him in this aggressive defense just makes too much sense.
