Dwight McGlothern entered the NFL in 2024 as an undrafted free agent. The Minnesota Vikings signed the former Arkansas Razorbacks cornerback after the draft, and McGlothern began to splash, making a name for himself during training camp and the preseason.
At 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds, McGlothern offered intriguing size to the cornerback room. But he never built on that promising camp, playing only 51 defensive snaps in two seasons and 41 total special teams snaps.
The Vikings waived McGlothern with an injury settlement this August. However, he may have a chance to catch on with a team as Week 6 approaches.
Per David Furones of the Miami Sun Sentinel, McGlothern was among eight players who worked out for the Dolphins on Tuesday. RB Jerome Ford, who spent
two weeks on the Vikings' practice squad in September, was also in the group.
We will monitor whether McGlothern catches on with Miami and whether he fits into head coach Jeff Hafley's scheme.
