As we get started in November, we are now complete with Week 8. The Vikings remain atop the NFC North, but they have lost their undefeated record after a road loss to the Detroit Lions. After such a performance, we wanted to look at what others thought of their work in Week 8 on the road.
Everyone is looking at Kyler Murray's play over the start of the season, but especially Week 8. The play has not been what they expected, and the offense is becoming a major hindrance to them taking a major step they need.
But what did Bleacher Report think of it all?
They published theirWeek 8 QB grades, and Murray earned a D. They explain the grade writing, "The Minnesota Vikings finally came across an opponent with an offense good enough in the Detroit Lions
to test Brian Flores' defense. Meanwhile, the Vikings' offense can't seem to get out of the starting blocks, which led to the team's first loss of the season. Minnesota's quarterbacks have yet to surpass 250 passing yards in any game, including 210 Sunday from Kyler Murray despite playing against the league's worst defense. The growing frustration within the unit is becoming visible during games, specifically from All-Pro wide receiver Justin Jefferson, who has now produced fewer than 45 receiving yards in three of the Vikings' last four games."
Murray will have a chance to bounce back in Week 9 when the Bills become the focus of the Vikings.
