Every new season in the NFL provides a lot of hope and promise to fans of various teams, if not all of them. What is also present, but doesn't get talked about enough, is the panic fan bases have. They have to be worrying about injuries, schedules, and if their team's window to win now is closing quicker than they realize.
Bleacher Report's Brad Gagnon broke down each fan base's panic meter ahead of the kickoff to the 2026 season. For the Vikings, he rated it a smooth 4 out of 10. That is not very high compared to others and is the second-lowest in the NFC North, behind the Chicago Bears.
He explains the ranking, writing, "Kyler Murray is a low-risk gamble that at least shakes things up for an otherwise talented team. There's breathing room here."
The Vikings have a strong coaching staff and front office, which helps the team stay on the right path. As Gagnon writes, the Murray signing could bring major profits to the team at a low cost. Time will tell but there is plenty to be excited about in 2026 rather than panicked.
