The Minnesota Vikings have been busy reconfiguring their roster this week. They not only traded J.J. McCarthy to the New York Giants, but also added five players to their practice squad on Wednesday before adding a sixth on Thursday.
On Wednesday, the Vikings announced they signed punter Johnny Hekker, RB Audric Estime, RB Devin Neal, OLB Keshawn Banks, and G Josh Priebe. Thursday, they announced they signed CB Natrone Brooks.
Minnesota continues to try to build depth at running back while Jordan Mason is on IR. And with Chuck Demmings missing a second day of practice on Thursday with a hamstring injury, the cornerback room's depth is being tested. Hekker could be needed again as rookie punter Brett Thorson hasn't practiced since injuring his
hamstring against the Chicago Bears in Week 2.
