The 2027 NFL Draft will take place in Washington, D.C. next year. In that draft, the Vikings still have their first-round pick, but a lot could happen in the next 7 months. Before then, though, there will be plenty of speculation and buildup about the team, and who they may add through the draft in a class many are calling one of generational wealth.
While we will always look at mock drafts from analysts around the space, we will also keep up with our Mock Draft Mondays here on Browns Wire.
The Vikings lost their undefeated record in Week 8 as they lost to the Detroit Lions. They need to look in the mirror now and make some changes, and we are making some of our own. So let's dive into our next installment of 3-round 2027 NFL Mock Drafts for the Vikings.
Round 1: LaNorris Sellers, QB, South Carolina
Sellers has been a major project for several years, but his 2026 stretch shows the promise wasn't for nothing. People may be afraid to make a major investment in him in the NFL Draft, but the tools are hard to ignore. He is a dual-threat, arm talent for days, he is everything they want in Kyler Murray and just aren't getting at the moment.
Trade: The Vikings receive the 45th pick in the 2027 NFL Draft in exchange for the 62nd, 94th, and 180th overall picks in the 2027 NFL Draft
Round 2: Devan Thompkins, Edge, Alabama
The trade up for Thompkins is justified. Since he moved from the inside to the outside, he has showcased some serious pass-rushing chops. HE would be a perfect defensive end in Brian Flores' system in 2027 and beyond. The Vikings have made investments on the defensive line and edge position, but Thompkins is just a fun combo of size and speed at the moment.
Round 3: Zabien Brown, CB, Alabama
Brian Flores has not had a cornerback to develop during his tenure with the Vikings the way he has with several safety players. Brown has the chops and potential to be an eventual starter, with some cleaning up of his mechanics. He can be physical, has good ball instincts, and with Flores' guidance, he could take a big step in his development to make this pick look like a steal.
