The Minnesota Vikings win their fourth game in a row to start the season, beating the Miami Dolphins 15-10 on Sunday. For the third week in a row, the offense contributed very little to the win, relying on the defense and special teams to bail them out. It's starting to hit the locker room, especially with starting quarterback Kyler Murray.
While speaking to the media following Sunday's win, Murray didn't mince words about how he feels the offense performed against Miami:
“Today wasn’t, by any means, up to our standard. Too many penalties, shooting ourselves in the foot. We gotta be better.”
Yes, Murray turned it up in the second half, especially once the connection with T.J. Hockenson got going. However, the first half drew some boo birds from
the fans and left many frustrated with the product on the field. Getting Justin Jefferson back from injury, hopefully next week, should help things. Something is going to need to click soon, as you can only rely on defense and special teams for so long.
