The Minnesota Vikings agreed to a revised contract with cornerback Isaiah Rodgers two days ahead of their first game of the 2026 season.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported the Vikings are converting up to $1.5 million in play-time incentives into a signing bonus. The revision creates additional cap space after Minnesota signed veterans Harrison Smith and Kyle Van Noy over the past two weeks.

Rodgers signed a two-year, $11.045 million deal in March 2025, and he played in 15 of the 17 games in his first season with the Vikings.

His impact was felt in Week 3, when Rodgers became the first player in NFL history to return an interception and a fumble for a touchdown in the same game. Rodgers won NFC Defensive Player of the Week for the performance, in which

he added an additional forced fumble as he showed why Minnesota targeted him in free agency.
