The backup quarterback has to stay ready to enter the game at any given moment, and on Sunday, Carson Wentz showed he was ready. Kyler Murray took a nasty late hit while scrambling that resulted in him getting a concussion. Wentz would take over in the first quarter and lead Minnesota to a second-half comeback, and he kept things honest in his post-game press conference.
When speaking to the media following the Vikings' 39-22 win over the Green Bay Packers, Wentz kept things light and retrospective:

Murray's status for next week against
the Chicago Bears will be taken day-by-day, but expect Wentz to get the lion's share of first-team reps as Murray recovers. Wentz went 12/19 for 133 yards and three touchdowns on Sunday, and with how lackluster Chicago's defense looked against Carolina, there's a chance whoever does start could have a good day.
