It may not have felt like it, but the Minnesota Vikings' run game in 2025 was actually pretty good. Minnesota finished 12th in yards per carry, but as they usually had to play from behind, they only finished 23rd in rushing yards. Improved quarterback play should play a factor into this, but could one Vikings rookie be the key to elevating this group?
Alec Lewis of The Athletic wrote about the Vikings' training camp so far, and shouted out rookie fullback Max Bredeson for the work he has done so far. Here is what he had to say:
Assistant head coach Frank Smith spent some time after Saturday’s practice reviewing techniques with fullback Max Bredeson.
This is a positive sign that the assistant coaches are spending more time with Bredeson. This could
signal that Kevin O'Connell wants to use Bredeson early and often to replace C.J. Ham in that starting fullback role. Ham did a great job during his time in Minnesota, and it appears that the coaching staff has high hopes for Bredeson to fill his shoes.
