What is the story about?
The
Minnesota Vikings continue to ride high ahead of Week 8 as they are now the only undefeated team left standing in the NFL.
They defeated the Indianapolis Colts in a gritty matchup in Week 7. The defense overwhelmed Colts quarterback Daniel Jones with a high blitz rate while the Vikings' offense struggled once again. Something has to click at some point for Kyler Murray and Kevin O'Connell, and it has to happen quickly. If they don't click in Week 8, the Detroit Lions are not a team that is going to be forgiving to them.
Now, for the matchup against the Detroit Lions, the team will be without the following players in Week 8:
- S Jakobe Thomas
- QB Max Brosmer (QB3)
- CB Charles Demmings
- RB Demond Claiborne
- OT Caleb Tiernan
- DL Elijah Williams
