The 2027 NFL Draft will take place in Washington, D.C. next year. In that draft, the Vikings still have their first-round pick, but a lot could happen in the next 8 months. Before then, though, there will be plenty of speculation and buildup about the team and who they may add through the draft in a class many are calling one of generational wealth.

College football season is officially underway, but now so is the NFL season. A lot was shown about the Vikings in Week 1 when they secured a dramatic win, so there's a lot to consider when making picks. With that in mind and the stage set, let's dive into
a 3-Round 2027 NFL Mock Draft for the Vikings.
Round 1: Kelley Jones, CB, Mississippi State
The Vikings' secondary had some issues in Week 1 that were covered up by their performance in the fourth quarter. They need to have better coverage if they want to be a complete unit, and that starts with selecting Kelley Jones. He is a big, physical cornerback who would be perfect for Brian Flores' system and would be great alongside the likes of James Pierre and Byron Murphy Jr.
Round 2: Greg Johnson, iOL, Minnesota
Whether the Blake Brandel project works out in 2026 or not, they need some better play on the interior of their offensive line. Greg Johnson is a mauler, bulldozer, or whatever other impressive adjective you want to attach to him; it is deserved. Johnson being used at center or guard to replace Will Fries, who has an out in his contract next offseason, would make sense.
Round 3: Whit Weeks, LB, LSU
Blake Cashman reminded me and others that he is the master of this Brian Flores defense when he works the middle of the field. He could use a partner in crime, and yes, they have Eric Wilson, but adding a depth piece to potentially replace Ivan Pace Jr. may be in the works. Whit Weeks is a leader, can handle a large workload in terms of assignments, and is athletic enough to make plays in this defense.
Round 3: Niki Prongos, OT, Stanford
Niki Prongos is a project at offensive tackle, but he is a fun one. Whether it be as a long-term play or just a reliable piece behind Christian Darrisaw and Brian O'Neill, he makes sense for the Vikings. He checks every box you want from a tackle prospect, but he needs game reps. He has been injured to start the 2026 season so it isn't looking good for him to get that this season, but getting the reps with an NFL team in the preseason and camp would work longterm.
