The Minnesota Vikings are 4-0, but skepticism lingers because of their ineffective offense. They are the first team in over 100 years to win their first four games despite going multiple games without a touchdown.
Still, not everyone is punishing them for a lack of style points. In his Week 5 Power Rankings, Pete Prisco of CBS Sports put the Vikings at No. 3, but he did acknowledge things need to change on offense moving forward.
"They are undefeated, but the offense still looks off," Prisco wrote. "The defense is definitely carrying this team right now, but the offense has to pick it up."
The Vikings sit behind the San Francisco 49ers (No. 1) and Kansas City Chiefs (No. 2) on the list. Count me as surprised by the ranking, as I immediately scrolled
to numbers 8 through 10 looking for Minnesota initially.
Kevin O'Connell doesn't need to apologize for getting the Vikings to 4-0. But he has to figure things out on offense for this undefeated start to mean something.
